For this project I was trying to communicate how the media and the popular idea of a time period can affect how you think. Suchas in my piece I tryed to convay how this image can alter your view of war by taking an American hero and portraying him as being killed by a forgien soldier.
Throughout this project I made about 20 prints of my silk screen in an arange ment of colors and variations of how to align those colors. My first thought was to make prints of every color and match them up with the color complement on each print but, after a brief re-evaluation I thought that it could be better if i had some way of making that Superman chacter more defined.
I think that this project was really tough because of how I orignally layed it out. When starting this project I believed that we were going to have to incorporate our design into the silk screen itself. In that way I think that mine is unique and almost more challenging than most because of the limits that I put on it with the design.
Christian- I really appreciate the creative thinking that you put into this assignment. From the structure to the overall presentation of the project, you did a nice job problem-solving and coming up with ideas that kept you excited about the project. Overall, the presentation is strong and the integration of concept to design is effective. Further, your creative idea was carried through in an original vision specific to you and I am hoping is the start to helping you realize how to create a "voice" in your artwork. My one suggestion is that some of the prints are blurred and with the amount of detail in your work- it may have been helpful to reprint the blurred images. Otherwise, great job!
